The beautiful little city of Clearlake, California was incorporated in 1981.
The Clearlake post office opened in 1923, "Konocti" then Clearlake Highlands until incorporation in 1981 when the official name became City of Clearlake.
The first inhabitants of Clearlake were the Pomo Indians, who named many of the area's features, including Mount Konocti.
We are a short drive from the greater Bay Area, and when you arrive you will breathe in our clean air, be amazed by our dark sky, revel in the outdoor activiites, and maybe fall in love and buy property and start a business.
